Comments:

I took a group of students to Sharm for open water certification. African divers were very helpful with shore certification dives and after two days of excruciating heat, we all went on board the day boats and enjoyed the breeze. My students did really well and even young Melisa gave it a tryout.

Dives were good in Ra’s Muhammad, with little current but lots of schooling fish. Both here and in the Thiran Straits (Jackson, Gordon Reef, etc) there were far too many divers in the water. On our last day, we drove up to St Catherine’s monastery and enjoyed the excursion very much. The Sinai desert is magnificent.

I only took a few pictures during the boat dives, with my Olympus C-4040Z and internal strobe, and only towards the end of the trip, since I was looking after my newly certified students.
